We give you the skills to give your child a great start to their swimming journey.
These sessions are perfect for you as parents or guardians to learn how to help your child, for them to feel comfortable, happy, safe and excited to be in a pool with you.
We have a range of floats, arm bands and life jackets so you dont need to bring your own.
This support and structure gives your child a strong foundation to progress from assisted, to independent swimming in a safe and controlled environment.

A group lesson provides a shared experience riding a surfboard, diving for toys to see how many we get, swimming further and for longer, together.
Our group sessions can be 2 children to 1 instructor, or 5 children to 1 instructor. Both lessons cover the same items as a 1 to 1 (Child) sessions including Swim England stages 1 to 10 as well as distances badges from 5m to 5000m.
It’s an uplifting feeling to be able to demonstrate a recently learned or improved skill to others that are in the same boat as you are and it's the same for your children.
Whether the group contains siblings, current friends or future friends, encouraging or learning from people like you and seeing them achieve something can also be motivating. These are valuable life lessons to use outside the pool in school and at home too.
Our focus is the ability to swim easily and far so that all children are competent and confident around water in the pool here, or on holiday.

The UK Department of Education requires schools to teach children to swim 25m before age 11.
With Swim School UK your child will surpass this before the age of 5. If they continue, by the age of 11 your child will be able to swim 1000m.
We cover distance awards from 10 metres to 5000 metres, competitive turn transitions and stroke development. We will prepare your child to be confident and competent at controlling their stroke and give them the tools they need to be great swimmers their entire lives.

From non or improving swimmers to triathletes, we have a teaching style that can unlock the swimming potential that lies in all of us.
We can see where you are right now, understand all the steps that might not always be obvious and help you reach those all important milestones in a safe and progressive format.

Swimming programme
Swimming is a skillfull activity both in its teaching and learning. As with any skill, swimming takes time to learn, fail, learn and eventually succeed.
All Swim School UK lesson programmes last a minimum of 1 school term. This gives both teacher and student time in the water to understand their abilities, areas of improvement, motivations and how to get the best from each other.
We understand that swimming lessons are a financial decision as much as anything. As a result, we do offer flexible payment options to accommodate as many customers as we can.
